We serve community based organisations, faith based organisations, co-operative societies, self-help groups that seek to mobilise and engage with support organisations using reliable and up-to-date data about themselves.

OUR EXPERTISE
We carry out social research to develop a better understanding of society and to help organisations make decisions about their programmes, the needs and expectations of beneficiaries and potential barriers. Our research programmes include individual, community and society level perspectives on a wide range of societal issues. Our research is grounded on the theory of change and applies a range of approaches and using qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods. We have experience working in different thematic areas of social science including: education, food security, public health and promotion of sustainable livelihoods.
Baseline, Midterm and Endline Surveys
We offer both the human resource and the tools for collecting data in the field. We use both online and offline data-collection platforms for field work. We have a network of research assistants to enhance data collection. Field data collected needs to serve a purpose and we analyse it right from the start. Field data is combined and triangulated with official statistics and open source data insights gained in the field. Our data management policies are based on confidentiality, ethical principles, national legislation and international standards.
Data Analysis
Quantitative research focuses on determining the numerical prevalence of specific thoughts, behaviors, or emotions, often requiring large sample sizes. To collect such data, we employ questionnaires as a common method. On the other hand, qualitative research aims to gain insight into the underlying reasons and explanations for phenomena. To achieve this, we utilize various techniques such as Focus Group Discussions, In-depth interviews, Key informant interviews, and Observation. For quantitative research, we employ statistical software such as SPSS, Atlas, R, and Stata. For qualitative research, we rely on NVivo for data analysis and interpretation.
Social Impact Assessments
We specialize in conducting Social Impact Assessments, which involve the comprehensive analysis, monitoring, and management of both the intended and unintended social consequences of planned interventions and any resulting social change processes. The primary objective is to promote a more sustainable and equitable biophysical and human environment. Through a participatory process and rigorous fieldwork, our social impact studies enable researchers to identify potential risks, opportunities, and benefits while effectively planning for and addressing the impacts of interventions.
Desktop/Systematic Reviews & Literature Summaries
Our team possesses extensive proficiency in conducting comprehensive literature searches and generating concise summaries and systematic reviews for research projects of various scales. We specialize in identifying gaps within the existing body of literature and can offer guidance on bridging these gaps by developing appropriate theoretical and empirical models. Whether it’s a small-scale or large-scale research endeavor, we are equipped to provide expert assistance in synthesizing relevant research findings.
